Key Dates:

Deadline For Digital Submissions: Monday 11 January 2016

FORM invites Western Australian artists to participate in ‘A Dot On The Run’ – an exhibition of drawings on paper, to be held at the Port Hedland Courthouse Gallery in February 2016.

Following a successful inaugural exhibition, A Dot on the Run returns in February 2016, showcasing drawings on paper from artists all across Western Australia. The exhibition remains the only survey exhibition of drawing in the state, serving as a platform for emerging, mid-career, and established artists throughout regional and metropolitan WA.

The Port Hedland Courthouse Gallery is an independent gallery in the Pilbara that has been managed and programmed by FORM since 2008. It offers a program of local, national and international contemporary art exhibitions, including the highly regarded Hedland Art Awards. The gallery has four key spaces, the main gallery and three smaller rooms. A Dot on the Run will be held in all three of the small gallery rooms, and will launch in February 2016.

Each artist is invited to submit up to 5 works for consideration, however please note that this is a curated exhibition, so not all works submitted may be selected for inclusion. Unless otherwise agreed upon in writing with the curators, all works submitted must be available for sale.

Works will not be accepted if the work exceeds 850 mm at any dimension. Keep in mind that works may be excluded upon submission, or during hanging based on size and the space available.

Works submitted must have been completed since January 2015. Works older than this will not be accepted.

Please send a clear jpeg image of medium resolution (1-2 MB), alongside a completed application form via email to curatorial.regional@form.net.au. All submissions should also include the artist's biography or CV. Please include the title of the exhibition as the subject line of your email.

If your work will be completed between the submission date(11th of January) and the delivery date (29th of January) you will need to submit indicative images of the work you will create along with the confirmed dimension and medium.

Participation is voluntary and no artists' fees will be paid; however works will be available for sale with an included commission of 33.3%.
