The Art Centre Manager position offers an employment opportunity for someone to join the Mowanjum Aboriginal Art and Culture Centre team.

Mowanjum Artists Spirit of the Wandjina Aboriginal Corporation (MASWAC)

Mowanjum Art and Culture Centre, located 12 km from Derby in the Kimberley region of WA, is looking for someone with a combination of energy, experience, social and emotional intelligence, integrity, curiosity, creativity and passion for Indigenous art and culture, to lead their art centre.

The Art Centre services 245 artists, craftspeople, dancers and singers and their children, from 3 language groups living in Mowanjum, Derby and outstations on the Gibb River Road.

The Art Centre Manager

The Manager reports directly to the board of directors and is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to Mowanjum Aboriginal Art and Culture Centre (MASWAC).

The Manager is responsible for effective operations systems and policies and will maintain and develop strategic relationships with the cultural, arts, tourism, Indigenous and economic development sectors.

The Manager is also responsible for managing the financial business activities with transparency and operating within a limited budget, including securing, managing and acquitting funding from a range of sources.
