Based at Uluru, Maruku Arts is seeking an Administrator/Bookkeeper experienced in Office Management to work from their warehouse situated in Mutitjulu. Experience in the use of MYOB for debtors, creditors, payroll, bank reconcilliations, etc would be an advantage.

In 2014 Maruku Arts celebrates 30 years of providing art development and marketing services to some 800 artists in the Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjara Lands of WA, SA and the NT.

This key position reports to the General Manager and involves overseeing the day to day running of administrative functions in the Maruku headquarters located in Mutitjulu.  The position works closely with the Operations Manager and Manager of the Maruku Retail Gallery (Punuku Ngurra) at the Uluru Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre and all other staff.


  • Experience in or knowledge of Aboriginal Arts/Crafts industry
  • Proven experience in book-keeping
  • Proven experience in office procedures
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer skills (email, word processing and spreadsheet, retail or accounting)
  • Some practical skills or experience, such as product handling, using tools
  • A current NT driver's licence (or eligible for one)
  • Previous 4WD experience is desirable
  • Knowledge of, or experience in, working in cross cultural situations
  • A willingness to learn the Pitjantjatjara language
  • All employees must be prepared to undergo a police check
