The Mungah Festival is a showcase of culturally significant visual arts by contemporary Nyungar artists.

The Festival is a traditional indigenous event that focuses on the bringing together of peoples to celebrate the rich indigenous Nyungar culture of Western Australia.

This year, Mayor Paddi Creevey, City of Mandurah will officially open the Festival and there will be a presentation of the Bindjareb Art Award by Dr John E Stanton, Director of the Berndt Museum of Anthropology & Founding Curator. At 11am there will also be a NAIDOC Flag raising ceremony.

The official opening will be followed by an Archie Roach Concert in the main theatre at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre.
