Country Arts WA, through the Federal Government’s Regional Arts Fund (RAF), is offering up to $10,000 per project for communities or artists to showcase regional work from Western Australia as part of the artistic program for the 2014 Regional Arts Australia (RAA) National Conference.

RAA's National Conference is held every two years in a different regional centre. It brings together people from across the country and the world who are involved or interested in arts in regional Australia.

October 2014 will see hundreds of regional creative workers and thousands of audience members converge on the edge of the Western Desert for an exciting and innovative 4-day part-festival part-conference program that reflects and celebrates the host community at the centre of Western Australia's Goldfields-Esperance region: Kalgoorlie-Boulder (see http://artsontheedge.com.au/).

The focus of this once off dedicated funding round is to provide regional Western Australian artists and communities an opportunity to showcase their work on a national level at the biggest arts gathering in Australia.

Applicants can apply for up to $10,000 to support projects that are in the development phase or to be remounted for showcasing at the RAA National Conference.

Funding can cover the cost of artist and arts worker fees, accommodation, travel, materials, marketing, equipment hire, venue hire, insurance and freight.

For further information, including downloadable guidelines and an application package, see the Country Arts WA website.
