Aboriginal Women's Weaving Workshop on Wadjemup (Rottnest)

Wadjemup is hosting a weaving workshop for local Aboriginal women.

The aim of the event is not only the reclaim culture but also to aid in reconciliation for the Island and its Traditional Owners.

Sharyn Egan will be facilitating the workshop,sharing her knowledge of traditional weaving and harvesting of fibres.

The workshop is open to any interested Aboriginal women, but is limited to 20participants - be quick to secure your spot.

The event will be at no cost to the participant.

Rottnest Island Authority will provide return ferry travel from Fremantle and lightrefreshments throughout the day. Ferry will depart B-shed Fremantle at 9:30amand return at 5.00pm on 24 February 2013.
