Offered by the Department of Culture and the Arts, this fellowship category is open to individual and established artists working in all areas of visual arts and craft, including painting, sculpture, installation, ceramics, jewellery, glass, textile, wood and digital art.

The purpose of the Mid-Career Fellowship is to enable:

  • growth of your practice through research and development
  • increased national and international profile through the creation of documentation including monographs, catalogues and critical writing and/or
  • increased profile through large-scale exhibitions or residencies.

Fellowships may be developed in conjunction with other planned initiatives such as the expansion of a proposed publication, a forthcoming residency, or an exhibition, and may vary in duration up to a maximum period of 12 months.
